ive just started to remove a few bolts on my gearbox removal job , the metal coolant pipe seems to be blocking one bolt on the gearbox , is it really required to remove the water pipe too

not for me, you should remove the gearbox without touching this water pipe. But you need to rotate the gearbox to pass the differential

my socket wont even fit the bolt?

anyone in the future reading this , yes you can do it with the pipe on , taking it off makes it much easier and gives you room to work ...i ended up taking it off
